Tom + Olivia - From the UK to the us
Olivia found me on Instagram and contacted me to shoot her intimate elopement in Orlando, FL. Her and Tom had one canceled Vegas elopement due to Covid so all fingers were crossed that everything went off without a hitch this time... Oh and to make it just a little more complicated, Olivia and Tom were traveling from the UK with their closest family and friends so everything was riding on negative Covid tests!
Needless to say, everyone made it into the US safely to celebrate this beautiful couple.
The ceremony was "quick and dirty" as Olivia put it and it followed with hanging out, waiting on a super long food delivery (bonus story on that at the end), celebratory drinks, having fun with American accents and Birmingham phrases, and lots of photos. I really felt like I was a part of this group of friends and family, and that we were old friends reunited. This wedding was so informal and refreshing.

bonus story - the chicken guy reception
Olivia mentioned on our zoom consultation call that one of their favorite things in America is the food! She decided against your typical catered wedding food in exchange for an American staple - FRIED FAST FOOD. She placed an Uber Eats order after the ceremony and long story short, the food never arrived well past the delivery estimate time. Tom so politely called the restaurant to check on the food order and they said it was ready but that they needed to pick it up. None of the wedding party had a car, and the order was supposed to be delivered by Uber Eats. I remember Tom asking me if I could call the restaurant and get to the bottom of the problem, maybe since I was an American I would understand better. I called and they basically said that the food had been ready for over an hour but Uber never showed up to pick it up and that someone should come get the food themselves. Being the only one with a rental car, I took one of the bridesmaids with me to Chicken Guy, we picked up the food order and delivered to one hungry crowd. It was really a beautiful dinner watching the friends and family gathered around the table sharing a meal, and enjoying each other's company.
