CREATING ART OUT OF AN EYESORE..

The inspiration behind the session

Earlier this year I was taking walks around my neighborhood and every day I would walk by this ugly, construction dumping ground. Not only an eyesore, it is quite literally a wasteland. I can see this site from my home as well and have often thought, "Gee, why couldn't this be something beautiful like a mountain or a pond?" One day while walking by I felt my attitude shift to slightly annoyed by this place. Usually, I seek positivity and I thought, what can I do to make this a better place? Then it hit me, a photoshoot! Immediately, my creative brain went into overdrive, imagining up a battle scene in this wasteland with art and love. I knew I wanted a couple actually make the art, and become the art themselves at the same time because relationships are messy and beautiful. I imagined a sexy, apocalyptic type wardrobe with super soakers as the vessels filled with paint instead of water. They would battle each other with the paint and become art while I took their photos to create the entire masterpiece. When selecting a couple to model, I approached Robert & Phaypana because I felt that they would be able to vibe with this creative energy that I was putting off & be comfortable getting messy while displaying their love for each other. Tiff at MKUP the Beauty Studio in York did this super fun, colorful eyeshadow. Thank you to the beautiful souls who helped me bring this vision to life!

Love is art

Relationships, like painting, can be messy. But when there is love, and work put in the result can be a masterpiece.

I want this session to remind all of you to approach every situation with creativity and always seek positivity. You can make beautiful things happen when you believe in your vision, trust yourself, and put the work in.
